Hi,
There is a new version of Cloud Zoom available (3.0 rev 1302271415) which allows starting of zoom via click.
You can test it via the trial download:
http://www.starplugins.com/cloudzoom/trial
To use the click facility, add this property to your data-cloudzoom properies:
mouseTriggerEvent: 'click'
